Replay Moves Closer to Reality

The use of instant replay in major league games is inching closer to fruition. The commissioner’s office and the umpires reached an agreement on the details regarding the implementation of a replay system on Wednesday.
在大聯盟比賽當中啟用立即重放系統已經快要成真了。星期三，大聯盟委員會辦公室和裁判們達成了有關設置重放系統細節的協議。

Although a baseball official who was briefed on the discussions would not give specifics about the agreement, the World Umpires Association sent a letter to the commissioner’s office to confirm the accord.
雖然對討論結果鬆了一口氣的棒球官員並沒有對協議的細節詳細說明，世界裁判協會還是發函至聯盟委員會辦公室，確認協議的相關內容。

Major League Baseball has already begun installing equipment at ballparks and hopes to have the system in place this month. The replay equipment would be used to help make calls on whether balls cleared the fence for home runs or whether balls hit near the foul pole are fair or foul.
大聯盟已經準備好在球場設置重放系統，並且希望在這個月就能夠啟用。重放系統將會用來幫助裁判判斷全壘打球是否確定飛出場外，或者靠近界外標竿的球是界內還是界外。
